Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the workshops, sessions and academic writing services offered by KART, and your use of this website. By registering for a session or paying a fee, you agree to them.

1. Who you are dealing with

“KART”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Kamala Academy of Research and Training, a sole proprietorship of Dr. N. Safrine. “You” means the person registering for a session or using this site.

2. What we provide

KART offers online and in-person sessions in academic research and writing, and workshops on communication, personality development and wellbeing for individuals and institutions. Each session is described on this website, on the flyer for that session, or in the proposal we send an institution.

Online sessions are conducted on Google Meet. You need a device with a working internet connection and a browser; nothing needs to be bought or installed, and you do not need a paid Google account.

3. Registration and payment

• A seat is confirmed only when the fee has been received in full. Submitting a registration form holds a seat, it does not secure one.
• Fees are stated in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of all taxes applicable to KART at the time of registration.
• Payments are collected through our payment gateway. Card, UPI and net banking details are handled entirely by the gateway — KART never sees or stores them.
• Seats are limited and allotted in the order payments are received.
• A registration is personal to the registrant. It may not be transferred, shared or resold without our written agreement.

4. Joining a session

The joining link is emailed only to confirmed participants and is deliberately not published on this website. Please do not forward it, post it, or share it in any group. We may remove from the session anyone who joins on a shared link without having registered.

So that everyone can hear and be heard, participants join with microphones muted and are unmuted for questions. We ask that you join a few minutes early: sessions start and finish at the advertised time.

6. Changes, postponement and cancellation by KART

We will do our best to run every session as announced. If circumstances beyond our control require it, we may change the date, time or format of a session, or substitute the resource person with someone of comparable standing. We will tell registered participants by email as early as we can.

If we cancel a session outright, or reschedule it to dates you cannot attend, you are entitled to a full refund. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Course materials and intellectual property

Slides, handouts, reading lists, recordings and all other material shared in a session remain the intellectual property of KART or of their respective authors. They are provided for your own personal study only.

You may not record, screen-capture, reproduce, circulate, upload, sell or use them for teaching or training without our written permission. The KART name, the KART seal and the contents of this website are likewise our property.

8. Conduct

Our sessions are academic spaces and are expected to be courteous ones. We may remove, without refund, any participant who disrupts a session, harasses or abuses another participant or the resource person, or shares material they have no right to share.

9. What we do and do not promise

We bring care, experience and honest effort to every session, and to any editing, review or advisory work we take on. But research and publication depend on many things outside our hands, so please understand clearly:

• We do not guarantee that a paper, thesis or manuscript will be accepted, published, indexed or cited.
• We do not guarantee any examination result, grade, degree, job, promotion or academic outcome.
• Advice given in a session is general educational guidance. It is not legal, financial or medical advice.
• We do not write, ghost-write or fabricate research on anyone's behalf, and we do not assist with plagiarism, paper mills, data fabrication or any other breach of academic integrity.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, KART's total liability to you in connection with a session or service is limited to the amount you actually paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of opportunity, income or reputation. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. This website

This site is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It links to and embeds third-party services — YouTube for videos, Google for meetings, our form relay and our payment gateway — and those services are governed by their own terms, not ours.

12. Privacy

How we handle the details you give us is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change when we do. The terms that apply to your registration are the ones published on the day you registered.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Before going to court, please write to us — most things are settled far more easily by email.
