Privacy Policy

KART is a small academy, not a data business. We ask for the few details we need to run a session and to reach you about it, and nothing more. We have never sold anyone's details and never will.

Who is responsible for your data

Kamala Academy of Research and Training (KART), a sole proprietorship of Dr. N. Safrine, decides how the information described here is used. Dr. Safrine handles it personally.

What we collect, and why

You give us all of this yourself, in a form or by email. We do not buy contact details, scrape them, or collect them from anywhere else.

No tracking on this website

This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, has no advertising or tracking pixels, and has no accounts or logins. You can read every page without telling us anything.

Two things do involve someone else's servers:

• YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which means YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless you press play. If you do play a video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
• Our web host keeps ordinary server logs, as every web host does, to keep the site running and secure.

Who else sees your details

Only the services we need to run a session, and only the part each one needs:

• Our form relay (FormSubmit) — the registration and enquiry forms on this site pass through it to deliver your entry to our email inbox.
• Our payment gateway — takes your payment, holds your payment details, and gives us the confirmation. Where a gateway collects your name, email and phone at checkout, it holds those too, under its own privacy policy.
• Google — we use Gmail for our inbox, Google Calendar to send the meeting invitation, Google Meet to hold the session, and Google Forms to collect certificate details afterwards.

We do not sell, rent or trade your details, and we do not pass them to any other organisation for its own marketing. We will disclose information only where the law requires it.

Other participants

When we send the meeting invitation we hide the guest list, so other participants cannot see your email address and you cannot see theirs. If you turn your camera on or speak in a session, other participants will of course see and hear you.

What we send you

Once you register, we email you about that session — confirmation, the joining link, changes, materials, the certificate. That is part of providing what you paid for.

We may also occasionally tell you about a future KART session. Every such email carries a way to stop them, and one line back to us saying “no more” is enough. We will not pass your address to anyone else to email you.

How long we keep it

• Registration details — up to 3 years after the session, so we can reissue a certificate or answer a query.
• Payment records — 8 years, because Indian tax law requires accounts to be kept.
• Certificate records — kept, so that a certificate can always be verified.
• Enquiries that go nowhere — deleted within a year.

Keeping it safe

Your details sit in a small number of password-protected, two-factor-secured accounts that only Dr. Safrine uses. This website is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but the surface here is deliberately small: there is no database on this site, no login, and nothing stored in your browser.

Your rights

Write to us and you may ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong — a misspelt name on a certificate, say;
• delete what we hold, except records we are legally obliged to keep, such as payment records;
• stop emailing you about future sessions.

Email drsafrinen77@gmail.com from the address you registered with. We will reply within 30 days, and normally much sooner. There is no charge.

Children

Our sessions are meant for adults — researchers, faculty and students in higher education. We do not knowingly collect details from a child under 18 registering on their own. Where we work with a school, arrangements are made with the school, and the school is responsible for parental consent. If you believe a child has registered with us directly, tell us and we will delete the details.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date above. Where the change is significant and affects people already registered, we will email them.
